My favorite food

I like very much all the things that can be eat. I like the salty things, the sweet things, everything!. Since I was a little girl that the food was my weakness. I always have been very thin, so the food wasn't a problem in my childhood, neither today. My parents never prohibited anything to me, I was very lucky in that area.

Is very difficult for me to decide about my favorite food, because I like so much things. I like very much the chilean food called “humitas”, maybe that is my favorite salty food. This meal is made with ground corn, is delicious! Especially if you put some sugar on it.

I like very much too the mashed potatoes with fried egg, especially because is very delicious and easy to do.

Favorite Music

Hi everyone, today I’m going to talk about my favorite music.
I like the british rock music, specifically the ninety music and the current music of this type, and the current indie rock. The british rock music , called sometimes “Brit-Pop” music, and the indie rock have bands like Oasis, Blur, Coldplay, Travis, The Killers, etc.
I like this kind of music because I think that has very good lyrics, chords and the harmonious is very similar and diferent at the same time in all the groups. I like the ninety music as well, because I think that that period was very good, and showed a new rock, more young, positive and happier tan the eighty rock music.
I like so many songs that you can cannot even imagine! But I can choose some of they: I like so much “Live Forever”, “Slide Away”, “Champagne Supernova” and pretty much all the songs of Oasis, because is my favorite band. I like “The Scientist”, “X&Y”, “Warning Sing”, “Lost!” and many more of Coldplay too. The killers is a new band that I like very much, they have songs like “Mr. Brightside”, “Bones”, “Human”, etc.
I would like to listen the new songs of “The Killers” live here in Santiago the next november.

Transantiago ... Before and after

Hi! Today I'm going to talk about my experience and my opinion about the Transantiago system. Transantiago has a lot of good and bad qualities. This new system is better than the pre-Transantiago system in many ways. For example, Transantiago has a smaller cost for people than the previous system, because now we can pay only once, and later change the bus, no paying anything.
Transantiago is worse in many ways too. For example, we must to take many buses to come to a place, and this is very exhausted. As well the buses are really full in the morning and in the evening, so sometimes is really hard to take a bus in that hours.
When Transantiago started, my experience with the new system wasn't that bad. I could took the buses without a problem, but for the people I know, the beginning of Transantiago system was awful. Now the service is much better than before, overcoat because there are more buses working.
I think that the changes that I would apply to make more effective the system in the future are to put more machines to pay, overcoat in all the doors of the bus. Also, I would put more buses in the system.

A country I would like to visit

I would like to go to England, because I think that it is a very beautiful country with a great and interesting culture. I always like to go to Europe because I think that its a continent very old, and with a lot of history, that countries like Chile must to know to learn about all the experience that England has.

England is a country that forms a part of the United Kingdom. Its an island and its close to Scotland. There capital is London, and the mother language is the english. I like very much the england music, so I know about many bands of the country, like Oasis, Coldplay, etc.

I would like to visit the big monuments, and all the old palaces and museums of the country. I would like to go to big concerts and festivals, like Glastonbury Festival. I would like to go to many cities of the country, like London, Manchester, etc. and know about there culture. Also, I would like to learn more about the english language.

I would like to study there, and most work there for a couple of years. Therefore, I would like to live there for a short time. I would like to work on my career, in some mental hospital, or something like that.

My experiences during the first semester of 2009

Hi everyone! I'm Catalina Cortés, I study Psychology and this is my fourth semester here in the Universidad de Chile.

I think that the relevant things that I learned and I studied the first semester of 2009 were about the subjects that I had. One subject called Psychopathology show me how is work in the clinical area of my career, and teach me that exist a lot of pathologies and mental illness that disturb the life of the people. In this subject we saw many patients.
Also I learned Statistics, Neurophysiology, Social Psychology, etc.


In my free time I did a lot of things, like go out with friends, and with my boyfriend. I went to the cinema, sometimes with my brothers and parents, and also with my boyfriend. I heard a lot of music. I went to Oasis concert. I went to the mountains to play with snow, etc. And many things that I can't remember now.


I had to face several challenges, like to obtain good qualifications, therefore, I had to study a lot. I had to divide my time between the works of the university and my boyfriend, family and friends.

Well, to finish I would like to say that the most relevant things that I learned the first semester is about the importance of to keep the family always united, always close. I love my family and everyone of them were always there for me.
